Monday Music Review- Mishka “Keep Watch X” & C-DUBZ “Human Nature”

I guess this can be the new Monday Music Review section… I have two crazy mixes that I want to share with you. First, is the tenth installment of Mishka’s Keep Watch Mixes. This time they teamed up with Major Lazer to produce a 40 min mix, with artists including: Major Lazers, Switch & Crookers, Leftside, Ninjasonik & even an Ace of Base remix! You can download the mix here and also, purchase the Keep Watch Vol. X: Major Laser T-Shirt here!

The second mix I wanted to share with you, is “Human Nature” mixed by our good friend and prior host of the Live @ LAB radio show- DJ C-Dubz. The mix is about 100 mins long and includes tracks by: RamadanMan. Clouds, EL B, Scuba and more. You can download the full mix for free here.
*C-Dubz’s album art was created by Markus Anacki of superhappytattoo.com.

Metro Area – Tonight @ Goodlife Boston

Sorry for the short notice, but if your in Boston tonight check out Disco/Nu-Disco dons Metro Area together for the first time in Boston @ Goodlife for a special and rare show that is is not to be missed! Hope to see some of you at this first installment of   “Where’s the love ?”  brought to you by Alex Ohanyan (Satillite Records) and Mark Ingram.

The Crystal Method @ House of Blues

If you haven’t gotten the chance to see the newly renovated House of Blues (what once was our dear Avalon Nightclub) on Lansdowne Street in Boston yet, you might just want to take the opportunity to head down there on Wednesday, May 6th to see The Crystal Method on their Divided By Night tour (album drops May 12th).
Doors open at 7pm with an opening set by our very good friend DJ Melee.

L.A. Fetish with Lana

During my most recent trip to L.A. I visited the Bordello club which was hosting a sexy, fetish Burlesque show featuring the lovely Emily Marilyn in a full latex ensemble. Also, on stage was Pyra Sutra who set the stage, and quite literally her nipples on fire.  The Petrojvic Blasting Company was the opening band before the show, and in my opinion was the real talent of the night. If you ever get the chance to see them you should definatly check them out. These guys sang, and played multiple instruments…. even playing the drums with their heels. What?!  Speaking of heels, I discovered this amazing Insa piece on the exterior wall of a tattoo shop in Venice.  Love those legs!

Street Performance in London for Beyonce Promo

I just got a look at this video that took place at the Piccadilly Circus Tube Station in London. The performance was done to promote Beyonce’s “I AM” show in London on November 15th hosted by Trident.
It’s a pretty neat show in the middle of a busy train station, featuring 100 girls and all perfectly coordinated. Impressive.

Keep Watch Vol. 6 By Skream!

Since we had a blizzard I decided to close the shop early today, and come home and do work in my pjs while listening to the new Mishka Keep Watch mix by Skream. I was pretty excited when I saw that Skream was the next producer to do a mix for Mishka, since some of my favorite tracks have been by him. You can download it here for free, so make sure you check it out! (on and 36 mins into the mix is my favorite skream x streets blinded by the night… sick)
