Oh Revok, you will be missed.
It’s good to know that doing time and paying fines can atleast be joked about.

In Japan of 2008, critically acclaimed director and writer Hayao Miyazaki (of such films including Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke and My Neighbor Totoro) debuted his latest animated masterpiece- Gake no ue no Ponyo, otherwise known as Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. To state briefly, the storyline revolves around the adventures of a 5-year old boy who meets a goldfish princess that longs to become human. I have yet to watch this film in Japanese, but I’m excited that Mr. Miyazaki was at comic con doing interviews about Ponyo and his inspirations.
The movie hits theaters on August 14th (american dub) featuring voices of Tina Fey, Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett and others

When I first watched the Cazals video for ‘Somebody Somewhere’ directed by Parisian artist André, I immediately fell in love with how light hearted, simple and cute it was.
Recently, André has teamed up with Japans’ Medicom Toys again to produce 100% and 400% sizes of Monsieur A. The Kubrick comes in two colorways: black and hot pink. Definitely something I wouldn’t mind having in my collection <3

Brandise University, the only nonsectarian Jewish-sponsored college in the United States, will be screening the new Sasha Grey movie tonight at their campus in Waltham. As part of their installment of the Brandeis Meet the Artist series, they will feature Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh’s new film, “The Girlfriend Experience” featuring Sasha Grey. The Actress/Porn Star is the lead of the new movie about a $2,000-an-hour Manhattan escort. Soderbergh, takes you into the life of a woman who provides her clients the true “girlfriend experience,” not just your average date. Sophisticated, worldly, well-dressed, and well-versed in the topics of pre-election politics and issues, Grey’s call girl and her accepting trainer boyfriend (Chris Santos) provide us the storyline that guides us through the capitalist underbelly of our society. The screening will start at 7pm and has not be confirmed if it only open to Brandeis students.
I just got a look at this video that took place at the Piccadilly Circus Tube Station in London. The performance was done to promote Beyonce’s “I AM” show in London on November 15th hosted by Trident.
It’s a pretty neat show in the middle of a busy train station, featuring 100 girls and all perfectly coordinated. Impressive.

The guys over at OPEN just released their new video, “It Ain’t That Serious” shot and edited by Steve from Quarter Productions. The premier for the video was this past Saturday at their grand opening party, but just in case you missed it the video is now up on vimeo or you can check it out below. Enjoy!
Our good friend Kerry over at Proletariat has teamed up with PBR, to do a series of live painting events at his shop. Each month until September they will have a different crew of artists come into the shop and paint one wall. The deal is each crew only gets 3 hours and can drink as much PBR as they want! While you watch the artist paint they will also be giving out free PBR as well as a ton of PBR gear like hats, tees, koozies, etc. Check out the video of the first event below.
Amazing new skit from SNL . Oh… and I think I have a little bit of a crush on Seth Rogen.
