On February 6th, the Institute of Contemporary Art will be housing the 20th year anniversary of Shepard Faireys’ Obey Giant campaign. The iconic street artist, who made his first ‘Andre The Giant Has a Posse’ stickers as a joke in his days at RISD, is among one of the most recognized artists in today’s society and arguably, one of the most controversial artists in our time.
The exhibit, Supply and Demand, will start on Feb. 6th and run until August 19th.
Be sure not to miss special events through-out the exhibit duration including an Artist Talk w/Shepard Fairey (Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, 6:30 pm), the Obey Experiment (Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, 9 pm – midnight, 21+), and a bike tour.
