Johnny Cupcakes presents The Wizard

If you’re in Boston tonight looking for something fun to do, our favorite cupcake man Johnny is hosting another movie screening at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline! Word is, pre-show Johnny’ll be battling one lucky viewer in Dr. Mario- and if ya win then you’ll get a special prize.
There will also be limited edition posters and a small pre-release of some near future Johnny Cupcakes Power-Mitt tees.

synopsis:
THE WIZARD

Jimmy Woods is a master of all things 16 bit. When his parents begin divorce proceedings and threaten to split Jimmy up from his older brother Corey (Fred Savage), the brothers hit the road to enter Jimmy in the mother of all video game competitions: Video Armageddon. Along the way they pick up their friend Haley (Jenny Lewis) and proceed to hitch-hike to Los Angeles so Jimmy can be crowned the video game Wizard. While heading across the country the friends must dodge parents, hired goons, Christian Slater and other perils as the brothers attempt to stay together.

A little tip: In past events, these lines get pretty lengthy, so I’d suggest getting there early!
For more pre-sale tickets go hereeee please!

Fafi in Fall…

This October, Fafi and Adidas will be releasing their third collection featuring art from Fafi with her own personnal flair and designs. As a little bit of a teaser, Fafi graced us with a picture of the Honey Mids that are a part of the coming collection. The sneaker’s side panels shows Fafi’s comicbook work, as well as some influences from her world whilst traveling.
“One more thing, even though you’ll find 5 pairs of sneakers for each collection, the clothes are not exactly what we are used to see at Adidas everyday, get ready !”- Fafi (via blog)
Anyone else rather excited to see what’s in store for the collection?

After I sent this picture teaser to my good friend and crazed Fafi lover Michelle from NEC, she sent me a cute little video interview that Fafi did for one of her previous collections with Adidas presented in Barcelona. In addition, she also sent me a video featuring Seseme Streets’ cutey patootey Kermit for Adidas during Berlin’s Fashion Week where Kermit takes us on a tour of artworks around the city! Wonder if Kermit had the Adidas Urban Art Guide for Berlin iphone app with him….

Well Behaved Bitches Seldom Make History

Another fancy slogan the MOB girls have braced to the female clothing line, right next to “Men Are The New Women”, which caused quite the uproar.
The summer collection to the Married to the MOB line features incredible versatility which includes bikinis, bermuda shorts, skirts, tank dresses, and long sleeved tops.
And whom other than David Perez Shadi (who did shots for WTAPS, BBC and Spoonfed/Tokyo) to be the photographer for this summers hot collection.
View the lookbook and shop the collection here.
